Export Goal with Value-Added Products: Reaching 50 Countries
Cüneyt Öztürk emphasized that the Turkish hazelnut sector needs to grow its exports through value-added products, stating, “Turkey currently exports around 2 billion dollars worth of hazelnuts annually, but our goal is to increase this figure to 5–10 billion dollars.” Öztürk also said that sector incentives need to be improved and that procedures should be simplified to better meet the demands of companies.
Global Market Target with New Investments and Employment Growth
Öztürk Hazelnut aims to grow in the global market by focusing also on chocolate-coated products alongside its state-of-the-art integrated facilities. Öztürk said, “With our new facility, we are increasing our cooperation with Turkey’s leading supermarket chains in the domestic market. We currently employ 250 people and aim to raise this number to 500, contributing to both our region and our country.”
Öztürk Hazelnut plans to export to more than 50 countries globally and will continue to participate in national and international fairs to achieve this goal. The company continues its efforts to bring Turkish hazelnuts to a wider audience worldwide.
